About Me

About Me

After nearly a decade of dabbling with web and graphic design, I finally decided to book down and learn to program. I started my journey by reading up on a few developer bootcamps, then one day I serendipitously ran into one of General Assembly's staff who recommended I try their part time Back-end Web Development program. Six months later and here I am, having successfully completed both the part time Back-end and full time Web Development Immersive courses.

Not only did General Assembly teach me languages like JavaScript and Ruby, but they gave me the skills I needed to be able to learn new web technologies independently. I now feel capable enough to read through documentation and debug code until I have learned any given language, framework, or library. The most exciting outcome for me has been being given the ability to take an idea and turn it into something tangible through code.
